The Corbett National Park is located in the foothills of the Himalayas where the altitudes range from 1300 to 4000 feet above sea level. Temperatures can drop down to as low as 5 degrees Celsius during the winters and rise up to 40 and beyond during the summers. These climactic favours have been kept in mind while designing the accommodation units at the Riverine Woods.
Large mud huts thatched with savannah grass, over a lining of bamboo ceiling are so designed as to reduce the conduction of heat. While these huts make for cool interiors during the harsh Indian summer months, they keep the interiors cool during the winters.
