About 585 species of avifauna make the Corbett National Park one of the richest bird sanctuaries in the world. Corbett is much popular amongst birding groups for it has a rich mix of local and migrant bird species. Whether you are looking for birds of song, rare birds, or colourful avian delights you will find them all here.

Our favourite is the yellow throated ‘Long Tailed Broadbill’ – not very easy to sight though as its green and yellow features match well with the background. Several varieties of Forktails including the Spotted Forktail can be seen. Other birds popular with birders are the Brown Dipper, Scarlet Minivets and the Wallcreeper. Also look out for the water birds including one of the widest varieties of ducks in the world.
